Vision

When I decided to create the company J. C. Ribeiro, I had no idea that after 33 years I would feel so fulfilled.

In 1986, for health reasons, I suddenly found myself completely separated from the family businesses of which I was a managing partner, and on top of that I had no financial resources.

But it was a good time that I followed the path that seemed right to me, encouraged and helped by my family and supported by the credibility recognized by those around me, including banking institutions.

Today, I can say that I feel great pride in the work I have done.

It was always my intention for J. C. Ribeiro to be a model in two areas that I consider fundamental:

1) To guarantee high quality products and never defraud customers.

2) To respect employees, providing them with the best working conditions and well-being.

Shortly after starting business, the company was already the preferred choice of the largest Scottish, Irish and North American distilleries.

Over the years, we have created very strong bonds with our customers, based on mutual trust and the high quality of our product.

Proof that the first aspect of the philosophy that I have sought to implement is indeed assured is this resilience, well reflected in the loyalty of our customers and in the comments of some of them, which can be found on our website.

Our employees are part of our success and in this regard there are a series of principles that I have never given up on and that I consider to be deeply rooted in the company, enabling us to comply with the second aspect.

The Portuguese are as productive as the best, as long as they are provided with good working conditions.

To this end, training and motivation are a crucial tool that I make a point of continually promoting.

On the other hand, I have always fostered a family spirit in the company and I try to find out about the problems of each of our employees, trying to help them as much as possible in resolving them.

It is gratifying for me to hear about the academic success of their children, or to see their good standard of living.

For all these reasons, I could not help but share with them the successes and difficulties and encourage everyone to participate in the common good that is the company, always being available to listen to suggestions about its operation.

I am proud to have a friend in each employee and to feel that the best employees in the region work at J. C. Ribeiro.

I firmly believe that J. C. Ribeiro will continue its successful journey for many years to come, because I have no doubt that all its employees, customers and partners have assimilated the philosophy that I have always defended and that can be summed up in one phrase:
