Environmental Commitment
Our environmental commitment lies at the heart of our sustainability mission.
We endeavour to reduce our environmental footprint by aiming for a 30% reduction in GHG (Cradle to Gate) emissions by 2027, as compared to 2022 levels. In cork stopper production, we respect the natural cycle of the cork oak by utilizing 100% of the extracted cork without harming the growth of the trees. The cork oak forests, from which we source this raw material, are crucial for biodiversity conservation and they play a vital role in ecological processes such as water retention, soil conservation, and carbon absorption.
Furthermore, we promote a circular economy by minimizing waste and extending the lifespan of resources. We use recycled packaging materials and repurpose cork waste, reinforcing sustainability throughout our entire chain of values.
