A sustainable mission: J. C. Ribeiro launches new factory in 2021

With a promising outlook for the future, J. C. Ribeiro is currently building a second industrial unit in order to respond to the significant increase in production, but also to be able to meet 100% effectively the contingency plans required by its main customers.

With this new factory, in addition to increasing production and conquering new markets, one of the company’s main objectives is to continue to reduce its ecological footprint.

The company wants to meet the demands of the best premium spirits brands through its production quality at all levels. In this sense, the new factory will provide the possibility of higher mass production, which will reach a new beverage market and, along with this production, a reduction in carbon emissions and consequently its ecological footprint.

The product used in its stoppers is and always has been 100% cork. There is no synthetic sealant, only the materials of the capsules vary: plastic, wood, ceramic, metal, crystal, glass, etc. The common factor is the sealant, which is cork, a 100% natural, recyclable and biodegradable plant tissue. It is an organic material par excellence and the extraction process is sustainable and ecological, as it does not damage or hinder the normal development of its species.

J. C. Ribeiro only purchases cork from suppliers who extract it from sustainable forests, in order to obtain the best quality in its stoppers and also preserve the best that nature has to offer.
